hOW iccf WAS FOUNDED
The ICCF Alliance was founded on a simple but powerful belief: that meaningful change happens when committed leaders come together with a shared purpose. Born from a collective desire to strengthen collaboration, elevate community impact, and unify organizations working toward similar goals, the Alliance emerged as a bridge—connecting visionaries, advocates, and partners who understood that progress requires both cooperation and courage. Its creation marked a turning point, transforming individual efforts into a coordinated movement designed to amplify voices, expand resources, and build a sustainable solution for the communities it serves.
About the Founder
Dr. Jeffrey Wright
Jeffrey Wright has always had a big heart and worn it on his sleeve. He was born into a large family in Hollywood, FL. Wright attended Miramar High School and Hallandale High School and sought to make a difference in any way he could. "I've always been an extrovert, people's person, and a great communicator," Wright says. Even when he was young, he constantly wanted a microphone in his hand. Jeff Wright went to a junior college in Florida to pursue a career in political science and broadcasting, however soon discovered he was a natural entrepreneur. In the years following, Wright successfully started his own business and later attained a PHD in Theology from Ecclesia College. With a passion and talent to inspire and educate, Wright spoke at several churches in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina, in his free time.
In 2010 Wright began writing inspirational plays, prompted by a close friend who tragically lost his son. Wright partnered with Ronald Parker, who owned his own theatre company, and started directing productions based on real-life situations. When Wright and Parker put on a play at a prison in Pensacola, they discovered they truly had started something special. For two years they worked together putting on plays locally, and regionally. The idea of the ICCF Alliance came from Wright's personal experiences and the poor choices he made as a youth. Wright knew he wanted to give back and help prevent others from making the same mistakes he once did. Growing up he often rebelled against his parents, which led him into a period of criminal involvement. The consequences he ensued taught him what truly matters in life, and about the importance of wisdom and building character.
Wright saw the mistakes he made were because he wasn't listening to his parents. Jeffrey's parents had great love for him, but he thought he knew better, and thought he could get away with taking short cuts in life. Wright soon realized that he was wrong; that the path he had chosen was not the right one to go down. Wright says, "God has given me a passion to help, enlighten, and awaken those who also think they'll get away with doing things their way; people who think they are smarter than their parents & authority figures. I want to give back and believe that the ICCF Alliance will help accomplish that."
In the fall of 2013, Wright launched the ICCF Alliance to change the minds & lives of troubled youth in the community, and help put them on a path to success. Jeffrey Wright's Plays depict the danger of making bad choices, giving youth the opportunity to see the consequences of those decisions, ultimately leading to incarceration Jeff Wright says, "I firmly believe we have very powerful tools through theatre and mentoring youth to challenge and inspire them. This is very important to me, and it's the passion of my heart."
